Spray-paint and shotgun shells combine to create Marcellus Goes Medieval. Ving Rhames, in his iconic Pulp Fiction role as Marcellus Wallace, rendered in shades of Black and White, looms large in this incredible unique artwork.
Using recycled shotgun shells, Leadbeater challenges and repurposes the idea of violence in media. Imposing figures from music and film are projected onto golden backdrops, intricate stencils building up detailed images of pop culture icons.
Working sustainably, Jasper saves spent shells from landfill, repurposing them into his artwork.
Part of an Edition of 6 - numbers 1-6 available, Marcellus Goes Medieval comes with an embossed signed shell, showing its edition number and confirming its authenticity.

Jasper is completely self taught. Having started his journey with a background in fine art and a passion for drawing, years of pencil commissions soon followed and became the foundations of what was to come. Curiosity led him to experiment with shotgun shells and he created the Ho Chi Minh piece in 2014, under the theme of 'War and Peace'. Having refined this unique medium over the years, immersion in the countryside gave inspiration to his first collection of works; combining the traditional country sport of shooting game with a contemporary approach to animal portraiture, creating original pieces using intricately hand-drawn and hand-cut stencils with spray paint. Progress and experimentation has led Jasper to focus his recent works on pop culture references and cinematic icons.
