The rocky shoreline and rugged cliffs of the Cornish coast are rendered in vibrant colour and expressive brushwork in this idyllic seaside scene. The dynamic brushwork used for the clouds is a particular highlight, while the minute figures provide a sense of scale to the composition. Presented in an ornate frame with a canvas slip. Inscribed with the location and artist's name to the reverse of the frame. On canvas on stretchers.
