Karine Bartoli was born in 1971 in Ajaccio. She enrolled at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts in Marseille where she graduated in 1997. Since then she has devoted herself to the practice of painting. Her work is figurative, a field challenged nowadays by the imagery of new media, that can produce instantly seductive visual results. The subjects - beach paintings mostly - of Karine Bartoli's paintings are inspired by photographs of the southern light where the artist lived and have as a subject the interaction between characters and their surroundings.

Karine Bartoli is a French artist born in 1971 who lives and works in Paris.
Bartoli enrolled at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Marseille and graduated in 1997. Since then she has devoted her time to practice her art of painting. Bartoli's works are figurative and are challenged nowadays by the imagery of new media, which can produce instantly seductive visual results. Her subjects are mainly beaches and scenes from everyday life. Most of Bartoli's paintings are inspired by photographs of the southern lights where the artist lived, Corsica and the interaction between characters and their surroundings.

An original painting inspired by the North Coast of Cornwall.
Lenny Cornforth original art paintings for sale with Wychwood Art online and through their gallery in Oxfordshire. Endlessly enthralled by the Atlantic ocean, Lenny Cornforth takes inspiration from the northern coast of Cornwall, using layers of translucent colour and texture to construct vibrant and emotional paintings evoking the joyful colours of the landscape around her. Working in both oil and acrylic each piece develops gradually, each layer establishing the shapes within the painting. A keen sailor and surfer, Lenny often draws on her own experiences in the sea, days walking the costal paths and summers lying in the sand to inform her compositions. Much of her work is based on the Camel Estuary where she learnt to sail. After graduating from Newcastle University with a degree in Fine Art, Lenny has exhibited widely in the UK including Oxford Castle, Edinburgh Art Fair, Waterperry Gardens and the Scin Gallery in London. Nonetheless she has always been drawn back to Cornwall, where she currently lives near Bodmin with her husband and son, two dogs and 50 dorset sheep.
