About the Item
An alluring portrait of a man (the artists son David) in a blue button up shirt by Lee T. Dalton (American, b.1925). Signed "Lee Dalton '72" upper left. Displayed in a wood and velvet frame. Image, 24"H x 20"W.
Lee T. Dalton was born in Orem, Utah in 1925. Dalton later moved his family to Michigan, and eventually settled in the Silicon Valley area of California. Eldest son, David, describes his father as "a truly talented artist...." Lee was a positive influence, encouraging his children's artistic talent. In addition to son, David, two of his daughters also became painters. David recalls his father's advice about gaining experience in painting, "leave miles of canvas behind you".
