Dutch Female Artist Liseth Visser is no stranger to the world of portraiture. In the past she was nominated for the 'BP portrait award' from 'Th National Portrait Gallery' in London, and she was also seen on Dutch Television at 'Sterren op het Doek'. On commission she made a portrait of our Royal Highness King Willem Alexander, The King of The Netherlands, for the Court of Justice in Leeuwarden.
Liseth was educated at the Academy of Fine Arts. She was also a student of Cornelis le Mair. Under his mentorship she developed her own style that appeals to the imagination in both craft and pictorial terms. In her portraits, the artist takes you into her story, the innocent beauty of her models.
The method is traditional. This means that after a monochrome underpainting, various layers provide what the viewer will eventually see. The layering creates a unique character and a softness that is always attractive to look at.
