Mari Abramishvili is a Georgian artist born in 1998 who lives and works in Tbilisi, Georgia. She id self-taught painter and visual artist based in Tbilisi, Georgia, whose work unfolds at the intersection of myth, nature, and feminine identity. From the moment she picked up a brush, Mari has embraced the tug-of-war between her inner dreamer and critic, learning as much about herself as about the world with every canvas she completes. Working primarily in oils, acrylics, and mixed media, she explores how stories, especially those about women, shape our sense of power, vulnerability, and belonging. Her recent solo exhibition Nature’s Daughters (Patara Gallery, 2023) invited viewers into a vivid dialogue between organic forms and bold colours, while the group show Road Trip (Sisters Room, 2024) deepened her engagement with themes of transformation and collective journey. In 2025, Mari took part in the Chronically Online Residency at NPAK in Yerevan, expanding her practice to consider digital identity, cultural connection, and the ways technology reframes our myths. Holding an MBA from BTU – Business and Technology University (2022) and a BA in Social and Political Sciences from Tbilisi State University (2020), Mari combines conceptual rigor with emotional resonance. She also brings her skills in visual storytelling and content strategy into her art practice, crafting narratives that invite empathy and curiosity. Looking ahead, Mari plans to expand her painterly language into site-responsive installations that encourage audiences to question inherited narratives and step into new, more inclusive stories of power and connection.
