Marie-Pierre Autonne is a French artist born in 1960 who lives works in Angers, France. She studied at Penninghen in Paris, France. She worked for several years as a graphic designer. She later decided to devote herself to painting. Marie-Pierre Autonne's work is in the same lines of impressionist movement and abstract painting. The artist mostly experiments with colors. She is aware of her freedom and fate which can be felt in her artistic approach. She in fact talks about "controlled fate" which emerges when she paints on wooden panels, where colors overlay and mix together, a rhythm over which she has only some control. She doesn't look for a result, but focuses on the technique, on the meaning of the work during the artistic creation. The final outcome of the painting is only the consequence of an approach which doesn't have any particular goal. Marie-Pierre Autonne works intensively her her painting, she gives a direction to her materials and then acts accordingly. The artist mainly inspires energy which triggers momentum.
