About the Artist
Artist Mikhail Zuyeu creates balanced, structured compositions infused with vivid color and natural motifs. "I intend to bring joy, calm, and happiness in every painting I create," says Mikhail. Influenced strongly by the elegance and geometry of Art Deco, his work combines clarity of form with organic harmony, often featuring trees, sunlight, and water. A self-taught artist, Mikhail first trained as an architect and began his career in 1978 before returning to painting after his retirement in 2019. He now works in a light-filled garage studio in the Pacific Northwest, where music accompanies his creative process. When not painting, Mikhail enjoys reading, traveling, and listening to music.
