About the Item

Original Contemporary Abstract Figurative Canvas Painting – Small Format Art "Her Force" is a contemporary abstract figurative canvas painting of a woman, created as part of Natalya’s ongoing series celebrating female strength and resilience In “Her Force,” Natalya deepens her exploration of the strength women develop when life places obstacles in their path. This is not a heroic or theatrical strength — it is the quiet, internal one that grows slowly, through experience, through pain, through resilience. Natalya often says: “Every woman I paint carries invisible battles. Some have survived loss, others carry dreams too big for the space they were given. Their strength doesn’t shout — it whispers.” This painting reflects that idea. The woman's expression is calm but grounded, as if she is holding herself steady from the inside. Her force is not shown through hardness, but through stability, clarity, and emotional depth. Natalya explains: “Women learn to rebuild themselves many times in life. They bend but they don’t break. I find this ability extraordinary — this capacity to continue, to transform, to rise again.” The layered textures and contrasting colors echo this journey. The deep greens suggest endurance; the warm reds speak of inner fire and emotion; the soft yellows hint at hope returning after a storm. This work is a tribute to that universal inner strength — the kind that appears when one is tired, afraid, or uncertain, yet still chooses to move forward. Natalya calls it “the force that grows quietly, the one nobody sees, but everyone feels. About the piece: Size : 24 x 18 x 1.5 cm (9.45 x 7.09 x 0.5 inches) Acrylic paint on cotton stretched canvas, ready to hang Finished with a special gloss varnish for protection Signed on front and back International delivery from France Certificat of the Authenticity is included About the Artist: Originally from Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, and now based in Lyon, France, Natalya Mougenot has spent over two decades refining her artistic voice. Her multicultural background and personal experience inform her bold, expressive works, which have found homes in private collections around the world. Natalya’s distinctive visual language blends Abstract Expressionism, Impressionism, Art Naïf, and Art Brut—resulting in paintings that are raw, instinctive, and emotionally resonant. Across her work, three values guide her: authenticity, sincerity, and honesty. “Authenticity is everything,” she says. “People can always feel when something is real—or when it’s not. I want my work to be honest, to come from a place that’s true.” In addition to painting, Natalya is also a passionate photographer. Her photographic work—also featured on this platform—mirrors her painterly sensibility: a poetic, observational approach that captures the quiet power of everyday life. For her, photography is both inspiration and a form of presence, often serving as visual sketches for future paintings or existing as standalone works.
