About the Item
This artwork depicts a young woman confidently poised at the Texas state line, symbolizing both a literal and metaphorical crossing. Set against a vibrant blue sky, the scene centers on the woman, a classic car, and a Texas State Line sign. Her relaxed stance exudes a blend of nonchalance and assertiveness, accentuated by her casual yet edgy attire—an oversized white t-shirt, high-waisted olive-green pants, and stylish accessories. Her wavy hair and aviator sunglasses add to her enigmatic aura.
Leaning against a meticulously detailed classic car, she represents a fusion of past and present, with the car's polished exterior evoking nostalgia. The green Texas State Line sign punctuates the expansive landscape, highlighting themes of transition and boundary-crossing. The artwork's attention to detail, from the car's chrome to the woman's clothing, adds depth and realism, capturing a moment frozen in time and inviting contemplation of the stories and journeys that lie ahead.
For texture, a paste with glass particles was applied and sanded for smoothness. Dutch acrylic paints Amsterdam and Italian canvas tm Unico were used. The finish is satin varnish, and the ends are painted in the background color. Part of the "Life in Avatar" series, it is created on and shipped on a pre-stretched canvas on a wooden frame. The painting is packed in a cardboard box with bubble wrap. The artwork is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
