About the Item
To Hold or Just to Pet explores the delicate space between human emotion and animal presence. The woman bends toward the cat, yet stops just short of touch — suspended in that timeless instant of connection without possession. The gaze they share becomes the true subject of the work: silent empathy, attention, and respect.
Set within a richly colored interior, the composition plays with visual rhythm and psychological nuance. The warm reds and deep greens echo the internal dialogue of desire and restraint. Each element, from the wall portrait to the arc of the woman’s spine, feels intentionally balanced — like a carefully composed sentence that ends not with a period, but with an ellipsis.
The painting invites reflection on the nature of affection itself — how often we hesitate between holding and simply being present.
Dutch acrylic paints Amsterdam tm and Italian canvas by Unico were used. The finish is satin varnish, and the edges are painted in the background color. This painting is created on a pre-stretched canvas on a wooden frame. It is carefully packed in a cardboard box with layers of bubble wrap. The artwork is signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Miami" Artbox Project Barcelona 2.0, Switzerland, online magazines "ArtBaazar", as well as special projects "365 Days After" (international), "Women in Art", "Hryvnia Art" (Ukraine), etc. The works are part of the Museum's collection prominent figures of Ukrainian culture in Kyiv and the Korsak Museum of Modern Art in Lutsk.
