About the Item
This painting invites the viewer into a quiet, surreal moment suspended between reality and dream. A young woman, draped in black, leans forward onto a round wooden table, her posture suggesting exhaustion, contemplation, or a search for inner refuge. Beside her, a glossy black cat with luminous golden eyes gazes outward, as if it alone can see beyond the frame and into the viewer’s own unspoken thoughts.
The scene unfolds under a vast sky where clouds drift like soft, weightless sculptures. The bottle on the table becomes a symbolic anchor — a vessel of hidden stories, unpoured emotions, or simply a quiet companion within this intimate tableau. The composition subtly uses contrast to influence perception: the woman’s curved form mirrors the round table, while the cat’s upright posture introduces a stabilizing vertical. This balance gently guides the eye, encouraging the viewer to identify with the emotional tension between rest and alertness.
Created to evoke a sense of introspective calm, the artwork taps into the collector’s desire for depth and narrative. It appeals to those who appreciate pieces that grow more meaningful with time, inviting the mind to return again and again for new interpretations.
Dutch acrylic paints Amsterdam tm and Italian canvas by Unico were used. The finish is satin varnish, and the edges are painted in the background color. This painting is created on a pre-stretched canvas on a wooden frame. It is carefully packed in a cardboard box with layers of bubble wrap. The artwork is signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
