About the Item
Otto Wilhelm Eduard Erdmann was born in 1834 in Leizpig, Germany. He is best known for his fine interior and genre scenes, often including figures. This original oil is a prime example of his oeuvre, completed during the height of his career. His works are amongst the collections of various museums, including the Museum of Cologne, Dusseldorf and Leipzig. Erdmann died in 1905 in Dusseldorf.
