About the Item
This work is inspired by the Amlash Mother Goddess, a symbolic figure associated with luck, abundance, and blessing, rooted in ancient belief systems. The character draws from mythological deities and is surrounded by codes, signs, and numbers once believed to generate prosperity when aligned.
Cuneiform script, the numbers 7 and 11, the infinity symbol, and chakra signs appear alongside floral elements, forming a layered visual language of renewal, hope, and prosperity. Through these symbols, the work evokes a timeless connection between sacred ancient forces and contemporary humanity, suggesting continuity, cultural memory, and shared positive energy across civilizations.

Pantea Mahrou
Pantea Mahrou is a contemporary artist specializing in painting, sculpture, and architecture. Her international exhibitions showcase artworks that draw inspiration from ancient goddesses, intertwining spiritual symbols, historical significance, and the enigmatic nature of constellations. Through the utilization of sacred symbols, numbers, ancient writings such as Avesta and cuneiform, as well as sacred signs representing power, fertility, luck, and the names of god, Pantea creates artworks infused with positive energy. In addition to paintings and sculptures, she crafts wearable jewelry pieces that embody the same historical significance.
Pantea's artistic portfolio is a fusion of extensive studies, life experiences, and spiritual symbolism deeply rooted in ancient cultures. By incorporating these symbolic elements into her artwork, she aims to introduce a wider audience to the rich heritage and positive energy of Middle Eastern culture. Mindful of the profound historical significance of colors, Pantea meticulously employs hues that resonate with ancient architects, particularly drawn to the serenity and calmness evoked by the color blue.
Driven by a yearning for mystery, Pantea embarked on a quest to learn ancient writings such as Avestan, cuneiform, and more. In her exploration, she delved into constellations and symbols from diverse ancient languages, harnessing their inherent positive energy. Pantea's intention is for future generations to unravel the hidden secrets interwoven within each artwork over time. Sculptural Mastery Pantea's reverence for sculpture led her to study under the esteemed tutelage of Mr. Parvis Tanavoli, one of the world's most renowned teachers. Her innovative approach combines various styles and techniques, resulting in unique and distinctive creations

The Odds, Acrylic on canvas, Brown, Blue, Green, Contemporary Artist "In Stock"
By Joydip Sengupta

Joydip Sengupta - The Odds - 30 x 30 inches (unframed size)
Acrylic on Canvas.
Style : His artistic devices are drawn from a range of sources, such as Kalighat paintings and ancient philosophical texts. Of course, his concerns are very much contemporary like the impact of globalization leading to economic marginalization and cultural degradation.
His photo realistic works draw from images related to contemporary Indian life, building complex puzzles and weaving together myriad experiences and influences as imbibed by the artist. The motifs in his paintings are rather complex.
According to his “I primarily work on Paper and Canvas. My chosen mediums of expression are Watercolour, Gouache, Acrylic and Oil paints. I am also engaged in photography, filmmaking, sculpture and installations.”
Conceptually, the immediacy of the drawn image alongside elaboration of the painted surface; balance the overall process of image making with anecdotes and mystery motifs. The interlocking of juxtaposed drawings with the painted surface steadily blurs the certainty of the known from the unknown. An altered sense of reality emerges. The human psyche perceives to the extent of what it may see and beyond that spectrum is the unknown, which is an anxious state of being. The notion of the self within a contained form is bound by the limits of time and to embrace its fleeting nature is a challenge. We are able to justify the presence of reality by assigning identities to it and a strong sense of the self is built around them. From within the illusions of a complex network, we are often reminded that life is fleeting. The surplus and grandeur of modern culture shifts your attention to make-believe realities where the nature of the self is packaged in everlasting youthfulness and happy living.
