About the Item
This work reflects a deep connection between two female figures who embody strength, wisdom, and harmony. Anna and Maria represent different stages of life, united in a silent dialogue filled with peace and understanding. They sit together, like sisters or close friends, supporting each other with their inner light. The painting conveys a sense of tranquility and harmony, where each woman finds strength and peace within herself, feeling a connection to both the earth and the sky.
This artwork reminds us of the importance of sisterly support and spiritual closeness, of the ability to find comfort and strength in the presence of another soul. In this connection, there are no words—only a quiet exchange of energy that brings a sense of harmony and completeness. The painting invites us to reflect on our inner silence, to contemplate our own life path, and our place in the world.
Roots That Hold the Sky" series
The series "Roots That Hold the Sky" explores the deep connection between a woman and her inner self and body. The central theme is the importance of tranquility, presence, and self-harmony. The paintings depict a woman who, like roots firmly planted in the earth, supports the sky, creating a balance between the physical and the spiritual. She bridges the past and the future, strengthening the generational ties that sustain her and the world around her. This state of peace allows her to be a source of strength and stability. The series invites viewers to discover inner harmony and recognize the power that comes from being fully present in the body
Ukrainian artist Svitlana Lazoriak was born in 1984 in Ukraine. Early in her creative journey, she obtained a higher art education in University
and developed a career as a jewelry designer. For fourteen years,
Svitlana has been designing jewelry collections
Today, Svitlana focuses on painting, where she explores states that
allow for conscious living, self-discovery, and transformation. She
currently resides in Belgium. ARTIST STATEMENT As an artist, she explores the states women experience on their journey
to wholeness and deep self-awareness. Do spirituality and sexuality
conflict? Does a woman feel her feminine power and her connection
with generations? What does true self-love look like if we redefine our
essence without limiting it to the role of a sexual icon?
These questions allow for a deep dive into one’s nature, exploring it
through the lenses of the body, will, and worldview. Art is a unique
opportunity to create a space for reflection and transformation.
Svitlana draws strength and inspiration from the works of Frida Kahlo
and finds sacredness and rich traditions in the art of Ukrainian artist
Maria Prymachenko.
