This thangka is hand painted on canvas with 24K gold. It has a center figure of Mayadevi, mother of Gautama Buddha, in the center. Buddha who is believed to have taken seven steps right after birth is depicted in the center along with Mayadevi under a tree. Many other deities in different poses, flowers and decorative motifs adorn this thangka. Real gold shimmers on the black and blue backdrop. Every detail is carefully painted by highly skilled artist.
