Oil on Canvas. Central-Italian school of the late 17th-early 18th century.
The composition proposes a female bust in the center, portrayed as if it were a sculptural effigy, because of the monochrome that evokes marble; it is surrounded by a garland of multicolored flowers, extending from twisted branches above, while a landscape fades into the background.
This type of portrait came from a solution that originated in Flemish circles and was popularized in Italy by Daniel Seghers.
Restored and re-tinted, the painting has slight color falls.
