A charming early 19th century oil depicting Venus and her son Cupid nestled in pink clouds. Cupid looks up to his mother handing her a golden apple, the prize awarded to her by the shepherd Paris in the fabled judgement. Signed 'T. Tardy' and dated to the lower right. Beautifully presented in an octagonal frame. On board. Image size: 21.5 x 21.5cm.
