Emmanuel Urbain Huchet. This is a striking post impressionist oil on canvas in fauvist colors. The artist's palette of warm ochres, blush tones, and earthy greens, paired with his gestural application, creates a contemplative atmosphere, characteristic of Huchet's post-impressionist style. This work is an homage to Edgar Degas, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Masters of an earlier generation who painted this theme. The painting is elegantly housed in a richly detailed custom frame featuring a gilded inner trim and a unique design of gilded nude figures, intertwined and enmeshed into one another, an artistic embellishment that deepens the sensual undertone of the composition. Urbain Huchet, known for his romantic portrayals of figures, landscapes, and coastal scenes, was a widely exhibited French painter who trained in both economics and art, traveling extensively and drawing inspiration from locales such as Brittany, Venice, Istanbul, and South America. His works were frequently shown at the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris and are held in numerous private and public collections across Europe, the United States, and Japan. Urbain Emmanuel Huchet was born in Rennes, France on April 28, 1930.
Known for his modernist marine, cityscape, figure and genre painting. After studying law and owning a textile factory for four years, he decided in 1960 to devote himself entirely to painting. Mr. Huchet spent his first three years as an artist in Pont-Aven, following in the footsteps of the Post Impressionist, Paul Gauguin, and Symbolist, Emile Bernard, both of whom influenced him a great deal. In 1963, he moved to Paris, catching the travel bug. He journeyed throughout Europe and the Middle East, spending time in Indian markets, visiting Peru, Mexico, Egypt, and every beautiful country he could, finding inspiration in each place. He painted the scenery of each locale, culminating in a book to document his experiences. His works are typified by a fluid and free, gestural approach to both form and color, and they are immediately recognizable. He is adept at both painting oil on canvas and watercolor, and is an accomplished lithograph artist. His subjects are diverse, but are primarily a reflection of the landscape of the Brittany region as he has a profound love for the coast. His wonderful depictions of circus performers, vineyard workers having lunch, farmers, cabaret musicians and everyday people were strongly influenced by his adventures and sojourns in foreign lands. Urbain Huchet has been an exhibiting artist since 1960. He has had exhibitions in New York, London, New Orleans, Egypt, and Paris.
He has exhibited at Park West Galleries along with Yaacov Agam, Alvar, Fauvist artist Emile Bellet, Romero Britto, Slava Brodinsky, Pierre Eugene Cambier, Claude Cambour, René Gruau, Fanch Ledan and Marcel Mouly.

Urbain Huchet
Born In Rennes on April 28, 1930. After studying law and owning a textile factory for four years, de decided in 1960 to devote himself entirely to painting. He does many paintings of landscapes and the typical people of his region. His love of the Brittany coast and the sea can always be seen in his work. fter moving to Paris in 1963, his love of adventure and travel led him to spend more time painting and writing in Europe, the Middle East, and South America, where he produced many paintings of the Indian Markets and the great scenery. He made 14 trips of more than 4 months each, from Mexico to Brazil via Peru, Central America and the Caribbean Islands. In Addition to the paintings he has written a book about these beautiful countries. A luxurious portfolio of paintings of Egypt shows his love of that country. Urbain Huchet has held exhibitions in New York, london and New Orleans, and Several in Egypt, however, Paris is where his largest number of works have been produced. At least 300 editions of lithographs have been printed of his works, all produced by the artist himself in different workshops in Paris and Cannes. Huchet died in 2014.

Artist Lucien Delarue was born in Paris in 1925, and he is known for his spectacular cityscape painting. Post Impressionist painter He studied at the studios of Grande Chaumiere, Paris and was a pupil of Maitre Yves Brayer. He is best know as a French Impressionist. He loved to paint the romantic streets of Paris with its stunning architecture and beauty. Also included in his repertoire is colorful French floral still life paintings, South of France country cottages, harbor views, and river scenes. At a very early age Delarue began taking part in exhibitions. Quickly he was talking medals for his works including first prize and the Vermeil-Medaille at the Salon Violet. Other gold medals include the Salon of Vincennes, and the Salon of Clichy (1973). In 1974 he won the silver medal at the Salon des Artistes Francais, and a bronze medal at the "Arts-Sciences-Lettres" exhibition in Paris. He also exhibited works at the Museum of Ile de France in the chateau of Sceaux. He held exhibitions in New York and in San Francisco in the United States. He was a member of the Salon des Artistes Francais and of the French Watercolor Society.Lucien Delarue excelled in recreating the cottages, harbor views, and expressionist architecture of Paris in his artwork. His watercolor paintings include color-rich representations of France's many scenic rivers. Robert Freiman, deaf from birth, was born in March 1917 in New York City. He attended an oral program near his home and later transferred to the Lexington School for the Deaf when he was six. Early in his childhood, his love for drawing, painting and studying became apparent, and as an adult, he continued his studies in New York at the National Academy of Design, Pratt Institute, the Art Students League and the Parsons School of Design. In Paris, France he studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts. Bob Freiman was especially focused on painting portraits and figures in motion in various mediums, especially the mixed-media combination of watercolor, acrylic and pen. Among his subjects were acrobats, ballet dancers, cyclists and other athletes. He as well focused on abstracts for a time, discovering new media in his works with quick brushwork and expressive movements.
In the latter part of his career, his style became abstract and surreal with images of metaphysical landscapes with architectural elements such as arches, towers, pyramids and castles floating in the air. The famed art critic Pierre Rouve wrote: “It is therefore refreshing to see them revitalized by the colourist wealth and virile handwriting of Robert Freiman, probably the best American water-colorist since John Marin. He worked in Provincetown and Nantucket and regularly exhibited there. D'Anty was born in Belleville, and it was here that he came to know the picturesque architectural quality of small sloping streets, sometimes broken by flights of steps, like those of Montmartre. Afterwards he moved to Saint Maurice, where he came under the spell of the banks of the Marne with its blue green reflections, the heavy river barges, sail boats, and the lock with its large dark mass, which all made their impressions, as did a later visit in northern France, long before he thought seriously about painting. But in both eye and mind, he was already storing secret visions and emotions.
During a holiday in Brittany, he discovered an entirely new awareness of colors, or rather of colors of the enchanting, subtle tones which make up the varied atmospheres of the Breton scene. He is linked to both post impressionism and expressionism.
