This dramatic seascape depicts a turbulent coastal scene where towering cliffs meet crashing waves below. A sailor can be seen stranded on the rocky shoreline, gazing towards the horizon in search of rescue. The painting is well presented in a plain gilt-effect frame and is initialled 'W. J. R.' in the lower left. On millboard. Image size: 33.5 x 60cm.
