This is from a series of Cloisonnist Abstracts which is my homage to the Mediterranean periods of Picasso, Matisse, Miro, Calder, and Leger. The series was inspired by visiting the Cote d' Azur and specifically the Fondation Maeght near Nice, where the gardens are filled with large sculptures placed among the slender trees which creates a mosaic of shapes and colors. Perfect for a large, feature wall, Improvisations is signed and dated on the back and wired for hanging.
