"Summer Storm 1," is a contemporary abstract work that is done by a San Francisco based artist, Heather Robinson. The work is a mixed media piece with acrylic on birchwood paneling.
“Summer Storm 1” was inspired by the skies I encountered during a residency in Santa Fe. I loved taking walks every evening in the desert. One evening while I was there, a storm came in around sunset, bringing huge deeply-colored clouds streaked with distant lightning. The wind picked up around me, connecting me to the clouds as the rain started coming down.
