About the Item
The idea for this work arose on the author's birthday, when he specially came to Venice to celebrate it there. In the painting we see the interior of a hotel room with evening Venice outside the window. The details of the interior are reproduced thoroughly by the artist.
On the left on the table we see a finished landscape, a view of the famous embankment of the Incurables, on which the artist worked during the day, a palette and a brush. On the right - a washstand, a towel. In the mirror hanging on the right in a gold frame we see the reflection of the author himself against the background of the horn of a burning chandelier and a painting on the opposite wall.
The author was inspired by the feeling of a new beginning, a premonition of something interesting and unusual, at the moment of meeting his personal New Year in the most beautiful city.

Dmitry Evtushenko graduated from the Moscow Secondary Art School at the Surikov Institute and the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. In art, the artist follows traditions multiplied by impressions from life. He never stops improving his skills and artistic language. Dmitry has participated in several dozen group and solo exhibitions in Russia and Germany. The artist's works are in private collections in the USA, Canada, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia, etc. A number of portraits are in the collection of the A. A. Bakhrushin Theatre Museum. In 2007, the publishing house "White City" released a monograph with reproductions of his paintings in the series "Masters of Painting".
