About the Item
Eclectic objects, oddly juxtaposed, found in antique shops creates opportunities for the artist. This shop was directly across from my gallery so I set up my easel just out front . It was fun and challenging what to include and leave out in this on site study.

Marc Zimmerman
I have painted since 1980, starting with watercolor. Then on to woodcut ,collage and now for 30 years oil and acrylic. Mentored from 1981-89, Phil Dike, considered the father of the California school of watercolor. Self taught from then on, I went into sculpture in stone and bronze and now ceramic. Today I create and run my own gallery in Carmel by the sea.
