Painter of portraits, nudes, genre scenes.
Yves Diey specialised in the representation of romantic pastoral and typically Moroccan and spanish scenes. He participated in the Salon des Artistes Français where he was a member and won a silver medal in 1942. He also took part at the « Salon des peintres témoins de leur temps » in Paris in 1951.
For his lifetime Yves Diey was famous as a painter of nudes and portraits of women.
