Janet Lehmann
I have studied painting at the Cleveland Museum of Art, Bowling Green State University,Cal State Los Angeles where I received my BA, LACC, and the University of California,San Diego. I studied painting with Manny Farber who was a valued mentor to many of his students. I have painted for more than 30 years and have exhibited for more than 20 years. I had a period, recently, where I painted, but did not exhibit. Painting is a way of discovering ways to solve visual and compositional problems on a two dimensional field. It provides intellectual freedom and the excitement of creating
