Tower Bridge Ripples was inspired by a late afternoon trip to Bermondsey. From there Tower Bridge looked hazy in contrast to the bright sparkling light on The Thames. The painting was created using textured acrylic medium. Oil paint was then applied in layers to define and illuminate the image.

Alison is especially inspired by water. Some of her favourite places include the coasts of Suffolk, Essex, Devon and Cornwall, West Sussex,Skye, the Lake District and London viewed from the river Thames.
