Porthminster Beach, St Ives through the window, an original seascape painting by Angela Webb. The bright turquoise tones of the sea are dispersed by the faint wisp of the window’s curtains to make for a delightful scene.
Angela Webb, painter, is available for sale online and in our art gallery at Wychwood Art. Angela is a Scottish architect turned artist living and working in Warwickshire. She works mainly in oils but also has a growing interest in monoprinting techniques. Her subject matter is broad ranging, from figure work to still life and landscape. The observation of life, light and colour are her constant inspirations. My goal is for the paint to be just paint; to look like nothing more than paint strokes and marks but, when seen as a whole, to be air, colour, light, atmosphere, flavour; the moment. If I am lucky and it comes together, I am successful.’ She regularly takes part in art festivals and Open Studio events and teaches workshops for schools and art societies. Selected exhibitions include; 2020 The Jackson Art Prize, long list (short list to be announced in April) 2016 The Royal Society of Portrait Painters, Mall Galleries, London 2014 The Society of Women Artists, winning The London Art Co UK prize, Mall Galleries, London 2014 The United Society of Artists, The Gallery on Cork Street, London 2014 The United Society of Artists, Bankside Gallery London.

Trevor Waugh was born in 1952 and grew up in London available with Wychwood Art. Trevor studied at The Slade School of Fine Art from 1970 -1974 (BA) under the guidance of Sir William Coldstream, Professor of The Slade at the time, Patrick George, Philip Sutton, David Hockney, Euan Uglow and Bernard Cohen. During his time at The Slade he was invited by Sir William Coldstream and Patrick George to exhibit alongside them at The Collegiate Theatre at University College, London, 1971. He was also a contributor to The Young Contemporaries Exhibition at The Royal Academy 1972.
