Anna Fisher was born in Cold Brook New York and studied at the Pratt Institute Art School in 1900. She specialized in still lifes and florals, in watercolors and oil. She taught at the Pratt Institute for over 40 years. She was a Member of the National Academy of Design, American Watercolor Society, New York Water Color Club, New York Society of Painters, Allied American Artist, National Art Club, National Association of Women Artists and the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation.
Fisher exhibited at the National Academy of Design 1904-1942; Pennsylvania Fine Art Museum 1906, 1922, 1928; Art Institute of Chicago 1909-1917, Corcoran Gallery 1916; National Association of Women Artist where she won a prize; Baltimore Water Color Club 1920 (Prize), 1922 (Prize), 1924 (Prize); Grand Central Gallery 1930 (Prize); National Art Club (Prize) and Salons of America 1934. Her works are displayed at the National Academy of Design, National Art Club, Pratt Institute Art School, Brooklyn Museum and the Mountclaire Museum in New Jersey.
