Condition: As is normal with unframed works on paper there are some minor old creases or paper edge curls/ tears - all of which should be covered over or smoothed out once framed; generally very good and sound.
Provenance: as with all the works we have by this artist, it has come from the artists estate in France.
Description: In this luminous pastel titled Taozuinie, Anne Marie Migette Perard captures a dreamy Mediterranean scene overlooking a serene coastline. Though the exact location remains unidentified, the painting evokes the ambiance of historic coastal towns, where stone towers, windswept terraces, and vibrant foliage rise above the sea.
At the heart of the composition stands a weathered fortress with crenelated walls, possibly inspired by medieval or Renaissance watchtowers common across southern Europe. A winding path leads through sculpted stonework and golden autumn trees, framed by iconic cypress trees that nod to Italy, France, or the Adriatic.
