Arthur Terry Blamires was born in 1930 in Yorkshire, England. Blamires was a teacher of Geography before becoming a full time artist in 1984. He predominantly painted scenes from the English Lake District and from the Yorkshire Dales, mainly using oil on board, and with a realistic style that depicted these magnificent scenes accurately and factually.
