Wonderful palette knife impasto painting of the Matterhorn from the Italian side with Breuil-Cervinia in forefront by Northern California artist Beatrice Ash (American 1900-1968), circa 1960. Signed on verso "Ash". From the estate of the artist. Unframed. Image size: 24"H x 30"W.
Born in California on July 13, 1900. She was a member of South Western Artists, Oakland Artist Association and Hayward Artist Association. She lived in Alameda and was known for her landscapes and still life paintings.
