Good condition
Very fine frame decorated with laurel wreaths, geometric incised decoration, and a frieze of heart-shaped motifs
The picturesque subject, the deep blue sea, the colorful little figures, and the port, undoubtedly on the Normandy coast, are all elements that reminds of the art of the Romantic painter Charles Euphrasie Kuwasseg, although the painting is unsigned. Very fine period frame and most probably of prestigious provenance (collection of Admiral Ronarc'h?).
