Chris Masoure draws inspiration from the New York Expressionists of the 1950s and the British landscape painter J.M.W. Turner. His work combines various colors, application techniques, and processes to suggest a harmonious composition.
Utilizing palette knives and brushes, Chris applies multiple thin layers of paint to create a soothing, atmospheric finish. This method not only invites viewers to navigate and discover his work but also imparts a sense of depth. Much like in nature, where balance is continuously achieved among all elements, Chris strives to express the sensation of that balance in his art. Through his meticulous layering and thoughtful composition, he captures the dynamic equilibrium inherent in the natural world.
