About the Item
Clifton, a Chinese contemporary artist, immerses himself in the exquisite art of plein-air painting. With each brushstroke, he captures the dynamic interplay of light and atmosphere, translating the serene vistas of rural landscapes into captivating works of art. Inspired by the scenic beauty of his American travels, Clifton's canvases pulsate with the vibrant energy of nature. His brushwork, a delicate fusion of landscape sensitivity and bold impasto application of color, reflects the influence of master artists such as Camille Pissarro and Alfred Sisley. Embracing the backbone of the Impressionist movement, Clifton's technique employs discontinuous strokes of color to faithfully depict the nature as observed firsthand.
Zhao Huxie, known by his artistic pseudonym Clifton, graduated from Yeonbyeon University with a major in Fine Art. He subsequently served as a professor at the esteemed Yeonbyeon Art Institution for several years, imparting his knowledge and passion for art to aspiring talents. In 1995, Clifton's masterpiece, "The Fire of Sun," garnered acclaim, earning him the prestigious Jilin Art Exhibition award. Today, his artwork is highly sought after on a global scale, and he has his own studio as a full-time artist.
