About the Item
This atmospheric painting of one of Venice's most famous churches has been painted by an artist of considerable skill, although sadly anonymous. Rapidly painted on artist's board and in thick impasto brush strokes it evokes much of the atmosphere of the magical city of Venice. Its small size suggests it must have been done on the spot as well as capturing the essence of the place.
