About the Item

Vibrant watercolor of three fishing boats by Cora Alice Akers Wright (American, 1908-1992). which are anchored in a small body of water. Signed by the artist in the lower-left corner, and presented in a cream mat. Image size: 14.5"H x 21.5"W Cora Alice Akers Wright was born in Coalinga, California on March 18, 1908. She won a scholarship to the Federal School of Art in Minneapolis and continued later at the Alexander School in San Diego. In 1936, she settled down in Arroyo Grande, CA and founded the El Camino Art Association.
