About the Item
The painting was painted from life. It depicts the Main embankment on the outskirts of the Bavarian city of Würzburg. We see an autumn motif, trees standing in a row along the parapet of the embankment, covered with golden foliage. The ground in the foreground and along the entire embankment is covered with fallen leaves. In the distance, a figure of a passerby looking at the river, which is visible on the right. It reflects the trees of the distant bank in a bluish haze and the evening sky, still bright, but already with the first shades of sunset. The sky is visible in the gaps of the foliage and branches, which occupy the entire upper part of the painting. The work is done in a manner close to impressionism and conveys the nostalgic state of this time of year.

Dmitry graduated from the Moscow Secondary Art School at the Surikov Institute and the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. In art, he prefers to follow the traditions of craftsmanship, multiplied by direct impressions from what he has seen and experienced. And never stops improving his craftsmanship and artistic language.
Dmitry has participated in several dozen group and solo exhibitions in Russia and Germany. The artist's works are in private collections in the USA, Canada, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia, etc. A number of portraits are in the collection of the A. A. Bakhrushin Theatre Museum. In 2007, the publishing house "White City" released a monograph with reproductions of his paintings in the series "Masters of Painting".
