About the Item
The painting was painted from life on a hot summer sunny day. It depicts an old street of a typical European town. The main "face" of the painting is a two-story house with a red tiled roof and two rows of dormer windows. On the second floor, there is a niche between the windows, in which a statue of a saint is located. On the first floor, there is an entrance in the form of a large arch, to the right side of which a red bicycle is leaning. The house is obliquely shadowed by the house on the right, which is visible in perspective. As is the house on the left side, where we clearly notice the canopy of the front door and a classic street lamp above it. At the very top, a bright blue strip of sky contrasts with the red roof, indicating high air temperatures. Thanks to the sunlight, the painting is saturated with many shades, reflections, highlights and reflexes: yellow, greenish, orange.

Dmitry Evtushenko graduated from the Moscow Secondary Art School at the Surikov Institute and the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. In art, the artist follows traditions multiplied by impressions from life. He never stops improving his skills and artistic language. Dmitry has participated in several dozen group and solo exhibitions in Russia and Germany. The artist's works are in private collections in the USA, Canada, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia, etc. A number of portraits are in the collection of the A. A. Bakhrushin Theatre Museum. In 2007, the publishing house "White City" released a monograph with reproductions of his paintings in the series "Masters of Painting".
