About the Item
The painting was painted from life. It depicts a corner of Venice near the ancient San Trovaso boatyard, the wooden wall of one of the buildings of which we see on the right. On the left is the wall of a house standing in the water with a barred window, crumbling flesh-colored plaster, exposing the brickwork. The two banks of the canal stretching into the distance are connected by a curved arched bridge. Behind it is a pile of houses with red tiled roofs and television antennas. The main dominant of the background is the silhouette of the bell tower of the church of San Sebastiano. The ripples of the water play with emerald, terracotta, blue shades. The work is painted in a manner close to impressionism.

Dmitry graduated from the Moscow Secondary Art School at the Surikov Institute and the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Dmitry has participated in several dozen group and solo exhibitions in Russia and Germany. The artist's works are in private collections in the USA, Canada, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia, etc. A number of portraits are in the collection of the A. A. Bakhrushin Theatre Museum. In 2007, the publishing house "White City" released a monograph with reproductions of his paintings in the series "Masters of Painting".
