About the Item
This painting reflects the summer sun over Skye on the break of day as the mist lies low in the valleys and the promise of a beautiful day. Using vibrant turquoises to convey the feeling of promise and lightness of a new day. It is a mixed media piece using acrylics, watercolour and inks. The intention is to capture a feeling more than a true representation of what is there and to show the energy of the landscape through loose fluid mark making. this painting is supplied with a mount ready to be framed in your choice of frame.

Coastal Mist was painted from a recent visit to Anglesey where the mist was lying over the sea, I used this to create a sense of mystery and of otherness that you can sometimes feel when out in the landscape.
