Statement My paintings investigate the ubiquitous patterns of light, shadow and reflection that we all experience daily, but that we rarely stop to notice. The works reflect a perceptual duality: a tangible, distinct moment and place when the source pattern is found, intertwined with the fleeting and ephemeral nature of time. As light and atmospheric conditions shift, my source patterns morph, move and change. I am challenged to capture this relationship between the perceived and the barely sensed: the concrete world influenced by the inevitable transformation of time and spirit.

Seven Days Underwater was created underwater during scuba diving

Underwater Painting by OlgaNikitinArt, project 7 Days underwater. The biggest artwork by Olga Nikitina created underwater during scuba diving 120x80cm. Artwork reflects the story of 7 safari days in the Red Sea on liveaboard Heaven Saphir. Artist captured the best dive spots – highlights of the Red Sea such as Abu Nuhas wrecks, Ras Mohamed National Park, wreck Thistlegorm, Brothers, wreck Salem Express. There were a several underwater painting sessions in seven days in a different places. In the end all dive team who participated in this expedition gave some touch to the artwork to seal a story.

Olga is an artist and scuba diving instructor, she draw her inspiration from being underwater.
She traveled around the world, dives in different ocean and sea for discovering new colors, shapes, emotions, to capture all varieties of our another world – UNDERWATER.
She believes when she teach people scuba diving she opens the door to new planet, to new reality in another dimension. In her art she reflects these emotions what people experience being underwater. Who have tried scuba diving once become a different person, it is not possible to forget that experience. Olga’s artworks will transfer you to that moment and you will dive in your memories with all your feelings. Piece of art will be not just a beautiful decoration on your wall but it becomes part of you, part of your space.
