Big Sur Sunset - Landscape Diptych in Oil on Canvas
Big Sur coastal landscape by Erica Brooks (American, 20th Century). This expressive diptych captures a vibrant sunset over Big Sur’s rugged coastline, painted with bold, dynamic brushstrokes in a fusion of impressionism and expressionism. The left panel features a windswept cypress tree atop jagged rocks, overlooking swirling turquoise and deep blue waters. The right panel extends the seascape to a dramatic, forested coastline with towering cliffs in rich purples and reds. Above, dark clouds are illuminated by the golden glow of the setting sun, enhancing the contrast of warm and cool tones.
Unsigned, but was acquired from the artist.
