EVERETT WATSON MELLOR
British 1878 - 1965 Everett Watson Mellor was born in London, the son of the landscape artist, William Mellor. Everett Watson Mellor was also an accomplished landscape painter in both watercolour and oil. Everett was taught by his father, and his style is very similar to that of William's, with whom his works are sometimes confused. Both father and son had a wonderful eye for composition and their choice of landscape is superb, taking inspiration from the landscapes of North Wales and the North East of England. Both his and his father’s paintings lovingly portray the British countryside in all its glory. Everett’s works are generally signed E.W. Mellor. He died in Middlesborough in 1965.
