Reflections of the city's lights tremble in its surface: gold, amber, and warm orange stripes stretch and break in the gentle ripples, transforming into a living play of light. The city rises in terraces along the shore. Small houses, huddled close together, glow from within, and each light seems like a separate story. Their reflections in the water enhance the feeling of comfort and warmth, contrasting with the cool hues of the evening sky. In the background, mountains rise—dark, almost silhouetted. They frame Manarola, creating a sense of security and peace. Their strict lines emphasize the fragile, luminous life of the city by the water. Above all this is a deep bluish-violet sky, in which the last reflections of the passing day can still be discerned, and the picture is filled with a quiet, contemplative harmony.
