Painted with delightfully fluid brushwork and spontaneity, this mid 20th century French oil captures this open landscape with red-roofed houses dotted to the edge of the fields. White clouds scurry along and race through the sky overhead and it is painted with soft, muted palette yet retaining all the 'freshness' of its subdued colours.
Signed by the artist to the lower right.
Condition:
overall good and sound, minor wear to the edges which could cover with framing.
