About the Item
A dynamic oil-on-panel by New Jersey landscape painter George Holloway. A very convincing depiction of big waves smashing against a rocky shore, with light streaking in at an angle from a low sun. Overall in fine condition except for the area at upper left (as shown in a closeup) which does seem to have some discoloration but didn't bother me enough to keep from buying the painting - though the price is reduced accordingly so it is quite a bargain for such a great-looking painting. Will be even less noticeable once framed.
