About the Item
The stylistic and conceptual choices of Giacomo Modolo’s research place the discourse on Form at the forefront, particularly through the depiction of felines, the undisputed protagonists of the new works, both from a symbolic perspective and for their anatomy, which the artist finds deeply satisfying.
Starting from Form, the paintings evolve with a strong decorative foundation derived from Modolo’s academic training, alternating more fluid planes with schematic ones, moving from an illustrative and narrative aspect toward a line of inquiry reminiscent of the manifesto.
Painting that is at times more gestural is alternated with solutions and flat fields of color, highlighting the different phases between planning and execution.
The animals, guardians of the composition, merge with the abstract landscape, which often transforms into flame (a purifying bonfire) or into a flag (as a search for an identity that already persisted in previous works).
Among psychedelic flames and fumes, images burn and regenerate through the continuous exchange of lines, aimed at shaping the weave of a narrative texture. Decoration and gesture create iconic imaginaries, almost graphic manifestos with fluid, theatrical, and overtly illustrative features.
And it is within this ritual that flags, ferocious animals, and relationships are thrown into the fire—everything that becomes a symbol of the artist’s everyday certainties, such as the sense of belonging to something or to someone.
“Blaze, using musical terms that feel more familiar to me, is not a complete album but rather a ‘demo’ of a few tracks: written in the midst of an already established career and committed to tracing a page—albeit an experimental one—of change (both aesthetic and spiritual).”

Sprouting for an Inch, in for a Mile
Located in Rockville, MD
" Sprouting for an Inch, in for a Mile" is a powerful painting process that captures the essence of life and vitality. This painting captures the spirit of improvisation and adaptation, with dynamic form that projects for a willingness to take risks and explore new variables. The sprouts seem to reach out to and connect with each other, forming a bridge that spans the spatiality between them. The vibrant colors and sensitive brushwork in this canvas suggest a for sense of confidence and determination. The sprouts seem to be forging a path forward, with a clear sense of purpose and direction.
The oblique structure and multi-faceted forms accumulate to create a sense of vivid motion and change. Its cursive brushes of Zen calligraphy convey something as if the painting process itself is to be alive and pulsing with an encyclical energy. The sprouts seem to be in a constant state of flux, evolving and adapting as they grow and mature. It implies that life is exactly a battlefield, wherever you, go with all your heart. The vein pattern that run through the painting process symbolizes the strength of life that sustains all living beings, while the smaller bean sprouts around represent the hope for new growth with trust.
From 2022 to 2023, Cymn extended a soul karma in her Washington saloon that spearheads to create a masterful suited style of American ethos. The ethos showcases an accomplishment in self-realization of aesthetic views of both Eastern and Western cultures. Wong attempts to vitalize certain built-in imageries and present the visual world via a dynamic interaction for human passion with the environment and the universe. In retrospect about the reciprocity between poetry and art, Cymn’s artistic attainments are expanding into a vivid oasis that she has been stimulated in an international platform.
Three turning points of creativity for Cymn Wong...
