About the Item
Gwendolyn Collins was a wealthy painter who did most of work between 1922 - 1933. She lived in a Mount Street in Mayfair and did not join any art groups or societies.
When her studio was purchased several years ago, many of her paintings had exhibition labels from galleries that had long closed. It is known that she exhibited during the during 1930s and 1940s by which time she had married and moved to Queens Gate in London. Her work is impressionistic in style. She died in 1946.
This piece is of a winters day in Kensington, painted with oil on canvas. It is an impressionistic view on a park area with trees and houses.
It is in a handmade wooden plaster (swept composite) frame.

Gwendolyn Collins
Gwendolyn Collins was a wealthy painter who did most of her work between 1922–33. She lived in Mount Street in Mayfair and did not join any art groups or societies. When her studio was purchased several years ago, many of her paintings had exhibition labels from galleries that had long closed. It is known that she exhibited during the 1930s and 1940s by which time Collins had married and moved to Queens Gate in London. Her work is impressionistic in style. Collins died in 1946.
