Gouache on paper, unsigned Image size: 12 x 15 ¼ inches (30.5 x 39 cm) Art Deco frame This rare original artwork was used as the book cover for Hugh E. Page's 'Rambles in the Wye Valley' (1951). The Wye Valley is an area of outstanding natural beauty straddling the border between England and Wales. The internationally important protected landscape covers parts of the counties of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Monmouthshire and is particularly recognised for its limestone gorge scenery and dense native woodlands.
